I think security certificates are something to do with computer software, usually something like Norton Anti-Virus. Do you have anything like that on your computer that might need updating?
I recently registered with e-bay and am having great fun selling all those books that I don't have time to read any more! Dh and I agree that what I make on books I can spend on toys for ds!

bea, I wouldn't worry about it. It's to do with certifying that they use the latest/best encryption software. They are a big reputable company and I'm sure that your info will be as safe with them as with anyone.
By the way, I've been selling lots of stuff and have found that for some stuff loot is better/easier. Basically anything that doesn't need a photo to sell it.

jennyj, for books Amazon is better than Ebay, and your item is listed until it sells (I think it's listed for 60 days? but you can update it). You pay no listing fees, just a standard rate (of 75p, I think) for listing and then a percentage if it sells. AND they give you a generous postage allowance. I've had loads of sales on there, although non-fiction does better (as there are always loads of listings for fiction).

Thanks for the tip, anais. I've got lots of non-fiction stuff to sell too, so I'll try them on Amazon.
Is the bidding process the same as on e-bay, or do you sell stuff at a fixed price?
Thanks
