lots of children 'not like you and Dad' ..... what can I say?

Hi am 39 and mum to one DS who is 6. TTC for 4 years .... 3 m/c's later still trying. If no luck this month we are going to start IUI. Getting a bit hacked off with tho whole thing tbh. Found out another friend PG with DC2 today.

BUT still trying to keep a smile on my face . Should OV tomorrow so who knows .....

Good for you for trying to stay positive.

And you know kids...they're strange give him another 10 and he'll say having kids is the last thing in the world he wants (and you can tease him about wanting to have a big family whenever cute girls come over and embarrass him royally )

Thanks Doozle. Yes I've had a look. Tbh we are quite honest with him and I have sort of told him that we have a few problems which I know he doesn't fully understand. I think sometimes he just says it for something to say. Kids eah!

I am 40 (just over) and my dd will be 6 in March. Been with dh 20 years, 5 m/cs , 2 IUI and 2 ivf later our dd finally arrived.
Part of me want to have another ; the other part is not sure to be able to go through ivf again...
my dd went through a phase of asking for a brother or sister when she was 4/5 because a few of her friends were having siblings . it went on for a while but she has now stopped after meeting her 6 weeks old cousin because "babies are boring and they don't stop crying" and my cousin's boy who is 3.5 was annoying because he wanted to play with her toys! she knows that her mummy's tummy is not very good to have babies and we told her that we have fun together and that IF there was another baby it would be nice but that we were really happy to be the 3 of us. I prepare myself as I am sure we'll have those type of discussions again but for now she seems very contented. We do loads together and she sees lots of other kids too. The school told us that she was a very happy child and it was nice to hear that as I am always paranoid she is missing out on not having a sibling.
I know what you mean about being hacked off about the whole thing...
