Secret replacement of lost stuffy

My 10 year-old lost her absolute favourite stuffy that she’s had for seven years while we were on vacation. She’s been crying hysterically. There are exact replicas, including worn in replicas on eBay. Should I help her mourne the loss, secretly replace it, or let her choose a replacement?

Oh I can imagine that is really hard for her (and you).
At 10 I think giving her an option rather than replacing it secretly would be better for her. She can mourn the loss but also choose whether a replacement will help her deal with the big feelings it has brought on.

Honestly replacements never feel or smell the same so sneaking one in likely won’t work anyway.

My son lost his favorite stuffed toy and we found several of the same one on vinted. He chose the replacement and that seemed to help. He was 10 too at the time.
