This isn't necessarily particular to onlies but thought I'd see if anyone would be willing to share successful schedules where their child is not going to ASC / is at home mostly. For context my son is not enjoying school and feels pretty oppressed by the lack of free / play time. He is still growing in confidence around doing things without me and hates loud busy environments.
I'm trying to get my head around how much a child of this age can cope with building the schedule together. He's very stressed atm & has been at home this week. Heading back tmrw with some changes agreed with school. I want to aid the process so we have less school refusal / home feels like relief from demands.
My thoughts are presenting the following rhythm (but without timings)
Not really looking for advice re the school refusal but more successful routines that help a child navigate their day. Thanks so much.
3:40 home & tea time - healthy snacks & mummy available for special time
4:30 mummy prepares supper / child has free time to do what he likes
5:00 supper and clear up
5:30 run around/ physical play with mummy
6:00 tv / play time
6:30 pjs, quiet play & snack
7:00 books in bed
7:30 cuddle / yoto
Sleep
