Ovulation tests

Hi!
I'm a mum of 1 15 month old girl. I took these ovulation tests today off whim, no idea why as my period is due in 8 days. But as I said, with my period due the tests wouldn't be this dark right? Could I be ovulating late? I have got some cramps and been feeling a bit off, which isn't like me. Sorry for irrelevant post!

Personally I find those sticks always look like that whenever I do them in the month.
It says on pack I think that unless both lines are the same colour (the C and T line) then it's a negative.
