Do you suddenly want a second?

My only child will be four in January. Since he was born (awful pregnancy, post natal depression) I did not want another. Everyone said "oh you'll change your mind" and I just laughed and said no way. Now, it's been about a week... I really want another. I'm suddenly desperately broody. I'm not sure it would work because of finances but it's like something hit me overnight. So strange as I was so stuck with the idea of just having one.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes currently experiencing this too. But I put a different post - I'm 43 and my DD is 3. I'm really torn wether we should try for another. Some days I'm like yes and others I'm in the middle..

I too had a terrible birth .edu - emergency c section because of a failed inducement. Had terrible anxiety for the first year...

Now I'm like "oh that was then..I got through it... oh who needs sleep.. let's do it again"

Hopefully with a better birth.

Who knows.

I would have loved another but never successfully conceived in the last 6 years. Had on miscarriage. I'm 40 now so realistically too old to conceive easily.

At 40, we've just given up trying after 11 years secondary infertility/treatment . If it is want you want, go for it. My biggest regret is listening to the midwives and using protection in the super fertile early days.
