Did anyone go for a second and regret it

Bit late really as my second is due any day now but I can't shake the feeling that it will be a mistake. There will be a 5 year age gap which feels massive and I'm just worried about going back to square one and ruining my daughter's life, and mine.

Sorry if this sounds insensitive just wondering if anyone is or has gone through the same!

I never got as far as a second as I was so terrified I wasn't going to cope and what would we do if something bad happened. But I don't think you could ever regret having a second or third or whatever as having a baby is an amazing thing.

I’ve not had a second BUT from what I understand from my friends who have, this is a very normal feeling. You don’t understand how you can generate more love until baby 2 arrives, I promise your firstborn won’t be less loved as a result ❤️

Almost 6 year gap here.
Was weird going back to the beginning. Many moments of "I forgot babys are like that" and "I must have done this before but can't remember"

But no I don't regret having my second in some way the gap has been good. But you'll work with the gap you've got.

I've got a 13 year gap here

No regrets. He's an absolute joy and my eldest dotes on him.

My OH has said a few little things about "not expecting to be dealing with this again" and thinking he was "home and dry". But, he stresses that he has no regrets (just bags under his eyes and a hole in his bank account) after having his second (my first).
17 year age gap between them!
