It's only day 2 and we have built a den, baked, made models and done science experiments. Weather is rubbish and I am trying to avoid excessive screen time but I need a break too. I've been working full time.

Any ideas?

We've also baked/done science experiments/done some lego building. Went to a McDonald's drive thru today Grin I know it's a bit naff but it's a rare treat for DS and he enjoys it.

Planning to take his scooter to the park one day - weather permitting.

Film afternoon? Draw the curtains and have snacks to make it more cinema like?

Board games? Mine loves snakes and ladders and monopoly at the moment.

It's tough at the moment and obviously all kids are different but my son is also quite happy chilling out at home (he's 7) so although we are doing stuff, I'm not too worried about filling every hour.

I've taken him out on his bike, he's painted, baked, seen both sets of grandparents, been to the park, spent time in the garden.

That's pretty much it.

I'm always worrying about the amount of time we need to play with him. I find it easier playing with him when it's Lego, or doctors.

He loves being given a job -
I bought him toddler knives so he can help prep dinner by cutting the softer veg.
