Does this look like baby acne?!

I'm a bit worried! My little boy has these spots all over his shoulders, a few on his face but his head is covered! They just look like little white spots! I feel like it's baby acne but I'm not sure. Does anyone recognise it? He's 17 days old and otherwise is absolutely fine!

Looks a bit like chickenpox. Did the spurs come up quickly?

They came up over a couple of days! He doesn't have a fever and seems happy in himself!

It looks like the baby acne my son had - also came up about the same age when the weather was really hot.

Hmm it's the right timing for baby acne but DD never had body spots like that. Is he ok in himself?

They are definitely more spots then blisters though! I can't seem to get a clear close up photo annoyingly!

They look like erythema toxicarum - baby acne. If he had anything sinister, it’s unlikely he’d be feeding and otherwise well.

Oh I'm so relived, thanks for the replies! I'm pretty sure it's baby acne as they look like spots you'd normally squeeze 😬 The poor thing he is absolutely covered!! Am I best to leave them or should I be using something? I put some breast milk on some earlier.... 🙈

Breast milk can help but they just go away on their own. They look nasty but I don't think the babies are bothered by them. I remember my daughter came out in hers the day of our newborn photoshoot Grin

Red blotches with whiteheads in the middle. Unfortunately some babies can have them pretty much all over. They will go by themselves.
