I’m currently renting as I’m not in the position to buy. I’ve just moved out of a 3 bedroom house into another 3 bedroom town house with 3 floors but am having trouble with the landlord as she’s hassling me constantly for money that I don’t owe her ... a family friend has offered for me to move into their house which is just around the corner from where I am now, except it’s a lot smaller. It’s 2 bedroom and everything is basically more compact. I have a dog, cat and a 8 month old baby. Being a family friend I’ve been in This house and it’s always been so cosy and upon viewing it it’s all been renovated and is beautiful. However it’s a big downgrade from a 3 story town house. I know I don’t need a big house, and smaller homes are often cosier but just looking for advice?? Move to a similar size property and have to wait to get reference checked etc and possible get rejected or move to a smaller home? I just want what’s best for my daughter and want to settle somewhere nice. She’s 8 month and will have moved twice
