Soooo many people go on about having more than one child. However, there are so many benefits of having one that I thought it would be fab to list them all!
So - I love having one child because:
We can afford holidays
We can go to the cinema easily without having to choose films for everyone
We can be spontaneous and "pop" out for dinner with our one child
We get to have a small car
We can all stay up late without having to think about a little one

Sorry to burst your bubble but I have two children and can do most of those things! But yes, it must be nice not to have to try and give your attention equally. Or listen to two of them talking over each other to you or refereeing the winding up and bickering !

I can give dd the time, attention, material benefits, quality education she needs and wants, whilst still maintaining a career, interests of my own, a healthy bank balance, a relationship and friendships that don't revolve around playdates.

No one is saying you can't achieve the above if you have more than one child but logically I simply have more time to allocate to everything than I would with multiple children.

Been having the awful 1 child / 2 children conversation with dh. Dd is 4, dh wants 1 child, I want 2. He used everything on the list above as to why we should stay at 1. I need some more positives please!!

There are pros and cons with however many DC you have. We have always managed all the above (apart from the small car) with 3 DC.
Softly Cuba is amazing, and it's definitely worth visiting Havana if you get a chance. My DC were fascinated with the 1950's cars there.
