Tearoom 35: Sun, sea and sand...

This breathtakingly beautiful island has unspoilt powdery white sand beaches, crystalline turquoise waters that wash over pristine coral reefs, and verdant green rainforest.

Scuba diving, snorkelling, kayaking and sailing trips are available and you can discover the island's charms on foot (with or without Mellors the guide) by mountain bike or private island buggy.

For those in need of pampering the spa offers a selection of luxurious treatments to soothe and heal both body and soul.

For dining, enjoy a freshly prepared meal at the tearoom, a picnic on the beach, or a delicious dinner in the oceanfront restaurant with its stunning sea views. There is Wine, Brew and good company, everybody is welcome.

Ouch Scout, that sounds painful.

Wine here please! I am full of cold and feeling sorry for myself.

SmallBoy stood there and said "Oh dear, you falled down!" Then he chuckled a bit. But a bigger boy (probably about 5-6) kept falling down and SB kept asking him if he was okay. Hmm No sympathy for me.

Poor bean.... would a blanket help as well?

beanandspud · 12/03/2013 21:06

Yes please to blanket.

::slightly pathetic emoticon::

Sorry, shouldn't chuckle at lack of sympathy from SB - Small Bean would be exactly the same.

I'll have some Wine, thank you. It's that kind of a grey and rainy day. Brrrrrr.

Hope its not as bad as you were expecting - its cold here but lovely sun. We had waxwings in the garden last night and this morning!

Scout19075 · 15/03/2013 12:31

TGIF!

mistlethrush · 15/03/2013 14:08

Phew... I hope Mellors has the Wine ready for post school run...

Scout19075 · 15/03/2013 15:17

I don't have a school run -- can I have Wine now or do I have to wait, too?

beanandspud · 15/03/2013 20:36

What a day! Wine here please!

Everything okay, bean?

beanandspud · 15/03/2013 21:36

Hi Scout! Yes, all is ok.

Just had a really busy week and then a mad day that involved leaving at stupid o'clock to get to a meeting 150miles away, then trying to get back to pick up Small Bean to go to a party which was stressful given that he's had enough by 6pm on a Friday night and is a 'meltdown waiting to happen'. By the time I got home I realised I had 'missed' breakfast and lunch and had survived on two cereal bars and black coffee all day!

I think I am just feeling sorry for myself, still have a cold, Mr Bean is away and I'm kind of feeling the pressure of juggling lots of things. That sounds really pathetic written down when so many people have much bigger things to worry about.

How is the Scout Camp?

bean, get thee some dinner!

If it worries/stresses you then it's a worry/stress. Please do not apologize for your feelings.

We had a week of not being in most of the day from breakfast until dinner or bedtime. Today was the only day we had nothing and while I considered taking SmallBoy swimming I decided we needed a PJ day. We spent the day coloring, doing dot-to-dot pictures (SB loves them), building Lego, playing with trains, playing alphabet/phonics BINGO and gorging on CBeebies. Despite doing nothing he was still asleep within five minutes of the lights going off.

The next two weeks don't look any calmer.

I think I might go to bed soon.

UniS · 15/03/2013 22:52

BUSY

got very wet n muddy at work today, expect to do so again tomorrow. off to bed now, need to leave home at 6.30am tomorrow, start work at 7. eeeeeeeek.

Scout19075 · 16/03/2013 21:29

It's Saturday night and I feel like throwing some -- who's with me?

UniS · 16/03/2013 21:58

my shape is mud angel.

Scout19075 · 16/03/2013 22:29

Nice. Grin

Jacksmania · 17/03/2013 00:16

I am unhappy today. My tummy hurts for no good reason I can think of, except I've been on a diet, and went out for dinner yesterday and may have indulged too much cheese fondue, anyone? and that doesn't seem like a good enough reason for a belly ache today Blush:o

Commiserations to all who are feeling poorly.

::Vogues over Sunday lunch::

mistlethrush · 17/03/2013 14:49

UniS recommendation on bike was great. MC has his (a bit early for his birthday) and is loving it. It is already muddy (as it should be).

And he can cycle up hill!!!

And its lighter than his old one for putting in the car (and will still fit if part of the back seat is down)

And mistlehound likes haring over the field after him (although she can go MUCH quicker than he can cycle)

HOpe everyone has a relaxing Sunday. MC and I are - DH is out at a performance.

Scout19075 · 18/03/2013 23:09

Aqua Aerobics isn't as low impact as claimed -- oh my poor, aching muscles.

UniS · 18/03/2013 23:19

Boy likes his new bike, it looks massive for him still, but I'll get used to it. Not tried it in the car yet.

mistlethrush · 19/03/2013 22:44

We swing the front wheel round 180 degrees and then it fits no problem. DS doesn't look 'small' for it in the least - I think that he could probably have had the 26 small but it would have been 'big' for him rather than really comfortable like this one.

He's happily cycling up hills that he's not been able to get up before and getting the idea of the gears pretty well....

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 21/03/2013 20:08

I haven't been to Aqua Aerobics for months but I do like it because I m the youngest one there and feel quite sprightly, for once.

UniS · 22/03/2013 11:20

Hat off to you full time working parents. I'm finding it bloody hard to sort out Easter holiday childcare , transport and the sports stuff that boy wants to do around my working 2 or 3 days a week.
