I only ever used the cresche part of if.

You should bear in mind that the nursery is a cresche for two hours of the day. In this time it gets really crowded, with children who are separated from their mum/carer for maybe just one or two two hour slots per week, when mum is at the gym. These children never really settle, and it is very crowded, not sure about the staff to child ratio at those times.

We used asquith court (putney day nursery on norroy road) for many years, and saw it change from a really good nursery, to a really abysmal one, where the staff in the end could not care less about the kids. New managers coming and going, and a high turn over of staff. The last manager (when we were there) had her own dd in the nursery, and were mostly just carrying her around, having her on her lap during office hours, even when talking to parents.

Good luck finding a good nursery!

Hi- DD (2 and a bit) has been at poppets /Ro's for 3 mornings a week since April and she loves it. It doesn't really compare to Noddies/Gwendolen House etc in terms of outside space/facilities etc but the staff are all really nice and she always goes in and comes out happy (sometimes she cries when I pick her up .

Just thinking about the creche..since it became Poppets they've changed the rooms around a bit so the younger children are seperate from the older ones (before they were in a different area of the main room)and I think most of the creche children are in there as they tend to be younger. It doesn't seem too busy at all when DD is there.

Hiya,

I think poppets is a good nursery, I went to view it before when it was term time, But now i think it is a great nursery, they no longer sleep in their buggys and they've got mats, the only problem is ther isn't a kitchen as yet so you will need to provide lunch until they find someone. My child is goin to asquith at the moment and it is expensive and they don't do much.

QuintessentialShadowsOfDoom. Does your kid still goes to asquith?
