Can anyone recommend a nursery near Battersea Park Road/Latchmere Road?

Hello, I'm a new mummy, my son was born Jan 2009. I live just off Battersea Park Road near the Sainsbury's local (not far from Latchmere Road/Battersea Park).

I'm thinking of going back to work Jan 2010. Can anyone recommend a nursery in my area? I have briefly seen Asquith (Latchmere Road) and Bridge Lane, any comments on these, or any others in my area?

Thanks v much in advance!

my ds went to bridge lane from 6 months old. We were fairly happy but felt you really had to be quite pushy to ensure the key worker system was implemented and worked for you

Thanks edd! Forgive my ignorance - is that when one particular member of staff is assigned to your child? Does it depend on that particular member of staff, or more on the way the nursery operates? I guess you don't get to choose who is assigned to you?

sorry for delay - yes that is what a key worker is, the liaison person i suppose. The ofsted website has a good definition. It depends I suppose on how the nursery operates - we would be told a particular person was our son's key worker but they would leave an hour before pick up and so we didn't get to develop a relationship with them and the nursery didn't seem to think it important to appoint someone else...

Hello again - really appreciate your replies, it's helpful to get opinions on something so important! We've now put his name down at Bridge Lane as it's by far the closest one to where we are. Will be interesting to see if they've improved the key worker system. Saw on the latest Ofsted report that their organisation is a bit lacking.

Will still consider other nearby places also and see how it goes over the next few months!
