My childs nursery pick up portal was logged as the wrong parent collecting?

My daughter has an online portal for nursery. Tells you what she ate, slept and who picked up etc

today her step dad picked her up and he’s been a fair few times before but it was logged down as dad picked her up but it wasn’t dad? They are both black with dark hair so maybe they got confused but still???? Do I email the nursery to just let them know ? And if so what do I say without sounding harsh? Someone clearly got it mixed up but luckily both are able to pick her up but still makes me nervous now

Does it matter?

Arlanymor · 11/02/2026 20:35

Someone who is allowed to pick her up, picked her up. I'm not seeing the issue.

There is no issue here.

I would just message and let them know its a simple mistake.
For those saying does it matter of course it does. Its a factual log of what happened that day with a child. For whatever reason if anything happened and the op needed togo back and see who did pick ups that day its marked as the wrong person.

She can just ask the dad if he picked her up that day.

Does it matter? Sounds like a fair mistake.

Who fills it in?

We fill out ours. When I write my work name rather than home name then it looks like someone not on the list picked her up. But the staff know me and know I can collect. That’s the safeguarding bit.
