Advice for 16 month old - nursery or stay home?

Hello, we have three children, 8, 7 and 16 months. Our 16 month old is very social, happy child who attends play groups daily with a nanny. We managed to get her 30 free hours of nursery, and our nanny actually wants reduced hours...

I am unsure whether to put her in nursery or not, and as much as she would love it and thrive in it, she gets sick all the time. She's had croup 2x, bronchitis 2x, 3x bad ear infections where she needed antibiotics... She has been picking up every cough cold in existence from older siblings and from her playgroups.

Anyway, I am tempted to change nannies, and keep her home until she's 2 in the spring/ summer then she can start part time nursery. OR do I just send her to nursery now for a few hours a day since she will be picking up all the winter germs from her siblings/ play groups? What would you do?

Well it doesn't sound like she's avoiding the germs at the moment so if you've found a nursery you like I'd go for it. They are more likely to sanitise stuff than a local church playgroup anyway. And then you won't be scrambling if your nanny hands in her notice.
