I’m panicking. My deadline day for reconfirmation for funded hours and tax free childcare was 13th March and I realised yesterday, on the 14th, that I had forgotten to confirm details were up to date. I reconfirmed as soon as I realised and immediately received two secure messages on my childcare account saying that I had successfully reconfirmed for both. As I am a bad worrier, I also called my DDs nursery for reassurance and they said not to worry as there is a grace period, they have a traffic light system and she was in red at that point but when they refreshed, she had gone green so all was well. Thank god i thought; everything’s fine.
I have woken up this morning to two gov.uk emails, sent at 11pm last night, one which said my funded hours were due to stop and my tax free childcare HAS stopped because I’ve not reconfirmed and I needed to do so asap. But I had reconfirmed and had the messages to show it. I logged back on to my account and it says I next need to reconfirm between May and June.
I’m worried now and have called the helpline but they’re closed of a weekend so now I’ll be worried all bloody weekend.
Obviously this is a lesson learned to put it in my calendar - I’ve got no excuse for missing it and am kicking myself.
I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance as I’ll be panicking all weekend now :( Has this happened to anyone else; and what happened? Did you miss out on the financial help? Did you have to reapply? TIA x
