Mum of three kids opening a nursery

Please share your thoughts.
I'm a mum of three 7, 3 and 5 months and in a month I'm opening a nursery in my local area. What's the best way to promote the opening to mums around the area? Where should I advertise? How did you find your current nursery for your children?

Your help is much appreciated!!!!

Big banners seem to be popular in my area advertising school nursery places so I would definitely have one of them on your building or perimeter fence. And if possible somewhere else prominent.when we were looking for nursery in 2010 we used google and are still using the same nursery now ! Facebook, Mummbler etc are good places to advertise.
Good luck.

I chose mine by word of mouth - so you want to get people talking. Maybe advertise in baby/ toddler groups / on social media and have an open morning so they can come and view the site?

Our LA has an online early years directory, listing all providers. Contact yours to see if they do.

Why is it relevant that you have three children? 🤔

Re: the nursery, have you set up a Facebook page for it? Join local Facebook groups and post on there. Social media reaches lots of people.

Is your banner going to say "nursery run by mum of 3 kids"

What type of nursery, is it a preschool or a private nursery? If private nursery where fees are high, people expect the best. What are your selling points, at a minimum I’d expect onsite chef cooking fresh healthy meals, a room dedicated to each age group, garden with age appropriate areas, gardening activities, areas for babies to nap. Get a good webpage together highlighting your selling points, start advertising at community areas, baby groups and through word of mouth, do some open days where people can come and look round and make it into an event.

It's very hard to tell if this is a serious business proposal that's costed and planned out, or a mum of 3 who wants to get paid for looking after a few extra kids at her house (ie. Be a childminder)
