We are recruiting babies (15.5 to 17.0 months) to take part in our exciting Baby Books Project here at Royal Holloway University of London (in Egham)...

This study is about shared-book reading with 1-year-old babies and their parents. We are interested in how babies may benefit from this activity.

If you decide to take part in this study, you will be invited to visit the College’s campus in Egham twice, approximately six weeks apart (on dates and at times convenient for you). You will be asked to keep a reading diary at home for six weeks. You may also be given a book to take home and read with your baby. As a thank you for taking part, you will receive £40 in total (£20 for the first visit and £20 for the second visit). Your baby will also receive a small gift and a “Little Scientist Diploma” at the end of the study.

If you have a baby, aged between 12 and 17 months, please sign up below! The study is running until June next year and so if your baby is not yet 15.5 months old, we will invite you when your baby is old enough to take part.

We don't pay for transport costs. We offer compensation of £20 for each visit (£40 in total for the two visits). Hope you can take part! : )
