Nursery carers - what year end gifts would you like?

A question for anyone who works in a nursery... what year end gifts would you like?

DS will be starting school in September and this is his last month at the nursery :(
I would like to give a small gift to his key carers as they have been so wonderful. What would be a good gift? We will be doing thank you cards with personal notes too.

TIA :)

I was once given a little keyring with a photo of the child on one side and writing on the other side saying 'thank you for caring for me' I absolutely loved it.

That's a great idea! Thanks :)

Home made card with a photo, I've kept mine over the years and put them in a scrapbook ☺️

This term I got lavender in n a pot, lovely thought.

We are going to do some thank you cards, so I can add a photo to it :)

We have also got some notebooks with 'teacher' related quotes on top.

My all time favourite presents have been:

A scarf at Christmas, the child wasn't leaving so it didn't matter that it wasn't personalised, but when the child gave it to me she said 'we got you this 'coz you always got a scarf on so I fink they you favourite!' sorry for the toddler speak but had to convey how cute it sounded

A sunflower that one of my key children had planted earlier in the year, and mum had re-potted in a decorated pot. It's still going strong in my garden 3 years later. This needs pre-planning though.

A keyring made from chunky beads, the mum told me he had chosen each bead carefully 'because Mrs Mango likes blue, because Mrs Mango has a flowery top' etc. That melted my heart just a bit Smile

A notebook with a picture the child had drawn on the front. Dad had a comb binder thingy and made them at home!

We get a LOT of chocolate, biscuits and wine. I'm still powering through my stash from July.

The best thing you can do is to write a lovely personal message in the card! I have kept all my cards!
A gift that I loved was a canvas bag that had been personalised with a hand print made into a flower with the phrase 'thank you for helping me grow'
We also had a hamper full of sweets, chocolate and alcohol- it was amazing and it was for the whole team!

Thanks all.
We have done cards for all the main carers and all assistants with a personal message for each of them. While doing the cards, I asked DS one thing he loves about each of them and put his answers in the card.. Some of the answers have been quite sweet :)
We got notebooks for the main carers with thanks for helping me grow' kind of messages on the top.
