Setting up a creche in a block of flats - anyone help?

I live on an estate in South East London which has an increasing number of babies and children on it. We have some communal areas that could potentially be put to really good use as a creche for parents living here to use. Can anyone suggest where I could start with this? Has anyone done a similar thing?

I'm involved in a parent-run co-op in East London, that's a really good setup. Cheap childcare, but very parent-involved. CAT me if you want more details.

The tricky bit, unfortunately, is if you want it to be an official thing (which you probably do, if you want to use communal areas), you need a professional nursery manager. Ofsted stuff for nurseries is just too involved these days for amateurs to do it. (We used to have parents doing the ofsted stuff. It became impossible.)

If you had parents/carers stay with the children, and didn't run for more than 2 hours, then you could have a Toddler Group .

If you wanted the facility for parents to leave their children, then it would need to be a creche, and thus you will need to go through Ofsted inspection.
