Playgroup- Would you expect an internet presence and in what form

Hi,

I'm getting involved with a local playgroup, it had about 65 kids on roll, including preschool year group and those in the year below.
Its committee is made up of parents on a voluntary basis- I've wondered whether a closed facebook group for parents would be a good idea to share ideas/ask for help/helkp with fundraising would be an idea, but then I've seen other playgroups have an open group more like a website. What do your local playgroups do? We don't have the funds, time or know-how for a proper website :-/

I'm no professional but the playgroups I take my DS to have a Facebook page and a lot of people find it useful.
