I think the main thing is that it 'feels' right to you. What you ask depends on your priorities I was interested in outside time, routine and how it would fit with us. If you think of questions you forgot to ask then just give them a ring.

Brettgirl's right - when we were choosing a nursery for ds1 and ds2, we saw two nurseries. In both of them, ds1 was asked if he wanted to go and play with some toys with one of the staff, whilst we talked to the manager and had the tour. In the first one, he wouldn't leave my side, and in the second, he dashed off to play straight away, so we sent them to the second nursery, despite the fact that the premises were much more basic than the first nursery. We never regretted that decision, as both dses were very happy there.

brettgirl2 and SDTGisAnEvilWolfofGenius thanks very much for your advice really appreciated. Went to 2 nurseries and I see what you mean about what 'feels' right. I thought I would like the 2nd nursery and it is more convenient but ended up liking the first so pondering over that and and seeing if I can view 1 or 2 more before final decision as the 2nd one is quite a bit more expensive which I can't really afford.

Hi there
Agree with brettgirl and sdtg hat you have to go with your gut but there are also some Mumsnetters words of wisdom here
if that helps make the decision
Good luck whatever you decide
