Hi Booandpops,

Thanks for replying. Not sure how the catchment area thing works, but yes have heard that have to live really close to get to the really good ones.

Yes for applecroft and templewood you d have to live very nearby. Tenterfield you can get into easily as it's not over subscribed as village doesn't produce enough kids. They have a new head and she is fab
It was good before but getting better

Where in wgc are you? I'm in Welwyn but know a lot of wgc mums

Sorry to hijack the thread - I'm looking at getting some sort of baby sitting / baby listening service sorted out for my sisters wedding in March - its at Brocket Hall which I believe is very close to WGC. You wouldn't know of any nurseries / nannies that would consider this type of thing would you? There are about 8 children so we'd need 2/3/4 people to be there to look after them (sit outside their rooms etc) for the evening reception.

Thanks
Mandy

Hi Booandpops,

Lovely to hear from you - we have recently been thinking of moving to Welwyn village. Just renting for now, to try and get the feel for the area.

There seems to be more groups/ activities for babies in WGC compared to Welwyn.
