Why is this needed?
•Finding or switching secondary schools is really difficult when there are so many different metrics and tools.
•A typical council in England has a 50 point spread between its highest and lowest performing schools, and the widest gaps of all turn up in areas that kept grammar schools.
•16% of families don't get the school they put first.
•League tables don't show the department by department comparisons. Ofsted doesn't make it easier. The inspection framework has changed twice in recent years, nearly 1/4 of schools are still carrying a judgement from before September 2019, only around 1 in 6 have been through the current framework. •Two schools rated 'Outstanding' might have earned that grade seven years apart, under completely different rules.
