My name is Laura Smith, and I am a MSc Forensic Psychology student at Manchester Metropolitan University. My supervisor is Dr Rachel Worthington (Forensic Psychologist and Senior Lecturer).
I am currently undertaking a research project entitled Raising Boys in a Digital World: How Parents Tackle Online Gender Hate and Attitude Influences (Ethical approval (EthOS) number: 87499).
The purpose of the study is to explore how parents/carers protect their 10 – 17-year-old male children from adopting harmful attitudes towards women they may see online. For the study to have impact I am seeking at least 50 participants, a maximum of 99 participants. As such I am placing an advert for the study here.
I was hoping this might be a good place to recruit participants as it is regularly frequented by parents of sons of this age range.
