Is it normal to feel even though you spend all your time with your kids and speak to them a lot you worry you don’t properly bond with them?

I have a 10, 8 and 6 year old. I work the weekend so they go to my mums when I’m at work and are with me the rest of the time. I speak to them a lot and we play etc but part of me worries I’m cold to them when I’m tired or frustrated etc.

my oldest is having issues with her friends so she spends loads of time with me. After school she sits and plays Roblox with me or watches a tv show with me. Sometimes I feel drained etc and feel like I don’t speak enough etc to her

are these normal worries?

I think these can be normal worries. I'm an over thinker and have 4 children - 3 similar ages to yours and one baby. Sometimes I worry I'm not doing enough with them or spending enough time with them as well even though we're actually together most of the time.

To be honest, they seem perfectly content playing with each other most of the time and I think it's more me worrying and feeling unnecessarily guilty. As long as your children seem happy and loved, I wouldn't berate yourself 🙂
