Funny seeing Patricia Stevens as the horrid Livila, bit of a change from 'Magenta' 😁 Such a terrifying time to live if you were in anyway connected to the elites. It really was a terrifying time to live. Anyone could turn on you at any moment , you couldn’t trust a soul! 😳Get that extra layer on and shut the back door before you’re reaching for the heating! Typical British summer! 😂
We had terrible traffic on the way down to Bristol took us 2 hrs normally it's only 45 mins but the Bristol balloon fiesta is in and the first 7 bridge was closed it was awful . Anyway we are having a Chinese takeaway tonight because we are so tired and cheesed off 🙄

Oh what a nightmare @DirtyGertiefromno30 traffic is the pits I'm so glad I don't have to deal with it regularly.

Jammies on early sounds absolutely perfect to me! 😁 Sometimes having absolutely nothing to do is exactly what you need. Get yourself comfy, put your feet up and enjoy a totally guilt free lazy evening.

Rain started just after i got into bed, still light rain this morning but stopped now. Fed up with this weather.
My sunflowers out front perked up after thier feed thank goodness, just in time I think! It's like spinning plates out there! Then after all my hard work it rains!

Beautiful day here, 🔆 only thing is, terrible smoke from the mountain because the wind changed direction.
Smells very like something burnt 🔥.
Been busy here today cleaned the bedrooms and the bathroom, then up town and to the refuse tip to get rid of a lot of garden stuff and a bit of clothing to the recycling bin . Mum was ok today thankfully, my sister's day to visit today . Went shopping to Aldis , Tesco , Waitrose and Savers .Got a few bargains in these shops . Home now put the food away , savers stuff away, washing away and now sitting down for a nice cheese and tomato roll and cuppa tea yummy . Hope everyone is ok and having a lovely day 🤗.
Haha sounds like you’ve had a very productive morning doing absolutely bugger all @Thebookofcarolagain! 😂😂 I think after staying up until 2.30 and binge watching the rest of I Claudius, you’ve earned the lazy morning though! 😁 Typical that you put all that hard work into the garden and then the bloody rain turns up! It’s like you can’t win with the weather at the moment. Glad the Sunflowers have perked up after their feed though, they obviously just needed a little bit of encouragement! 🌻 😁👏.

Just took ds2 to work he was told not to go in as yesterday they were dead quiet and they would call him if needed. I was just about to start tea and he got the call! Then it started raining again.😡
Just making butter chicken with added beans nice and easy.

I did have a shopping marathon 😂. Got some GF bits but not much . I did get 3 minced beef ready meal hotpots from for £1.40 each instead of nearly £4 each and they were lovely , l had one for tea, put the others in the freezer . Must be the site playing up with the slow text 🙄. I only saw your message now too but it's always doing that to you with mine l know 🙄.
Smoke eased off now wind has changed direction. Watching Antiques Roadshow .

Had tea and washed up. Ds2 came home at 8 it wasn't busy at all, lazy colleague pushing his luck😡

Glad to hear about the visit to the pharmacist Bookof Carol , and he was on top of the meds . DH had to have Vit D tablets for a while - suoer dooper strong ones that you can't buy over the counter .
Eek on the fire Dirtie - hope it doesn't get near .
We still haven't had any rain , it is just unbelievable how dry everything is . The farmers have started ewatering fields with enormous sprinkler pumps around here .
Just toddling on here as per - we have finally finished DD1s shed and back yard ( though we had to spray the weeds 😒and they are putting up a fight) so just very minor little DIY jobs left that can be done as and when .
I finally got around to sewing up new seats and backs for some vintage garden chairs that had been my in - laws . Beautiful hardwood folding things ( a bit like heavyweight directors chairs ) . Th material had completely worn out , so we had to get those off , and I used them as patterns to cut out new canvas . DH has already got one re done , will get the other done tomorrow . He had to wait for some upholstery tacks coming through the post , as he ran out , but all ready to lounge in the heat due this week !
Nothing much else planned , apart from starting cooking up tomatoes and aubergines - the tomatoes are starting to ripen in enough quantities , have loads to come .

Nice day here sunny and blue skies 20C. Could smell smoke in the night so had to shut all the windows . Smoke eased off now the wind has changed direction thankfully. Got my washing out earlier than normal to try to get it done asap in case the smoke comes back . I hope you slept ok last night @Thebookofcarolagain and you fought the Assassins and won 🤣.

Washing is out .
My bloody tomato plants have fruit flies ! Arghhh. Looked up on what to do. Have sprayed fly spray all over kitchen counters and washed it all down. Plants are outside. I sprayed outside of pots. I am gonna trim bottom branches off and put more compost in pot. Sick as a parrot.
Put a load of egg shells in pots out front, I doubt they do much but better than nowt.
Ds1 has appoint this afternoon then shopping.
I always win @DirtyGertiefromno30 I don't think there can be any more assassins left 😁 Same with thieves give them a chance to walk away...nope? Then you die.
Fell asleep listening to my story 😡 Will catch rest later.

Back from shopping.😱 At least i wont need anything for a while. We'll except I forgot spaghetti and was too knackered to try in morrisons for white vinegar. We dumped the bottles and left.
Everything is put away, still have chicken to portion but that can wait till tomorrow.
Got a box of pineapple lollies for in evenings, hope they are good!
Couldn't find any fly traps in HB and fly spray for everything but fruit flies. Hopefully they will be gone now I did all the stuff. Didn't really want spray for all the things I dont have!
Just having curry and a baked pot for tea @DirtyGertiefromno30 ds1 got bloody KFC chicken as usual.😄
Got a bottle of wine, I think its in order this pm😉

Had my tea did not like the ham so the birds had it . I cooked 2 fried eggs instead 😋 can't beat a fried egg 😋.
DH just bought a Greggs TGTG bag for the Dds so they are sorted tonight .
Everything all sorted settling down now l have decided that's it! Might have a cuppa now though 😊
