I have done nothing except sat by Mum all day trying to get her to drink . It is what it is 🤗

Just had chicken salad using all the leftovers in the fridge. Go Me 🤣 Mum was a nightmare today so agressove and out of it from the UTI but l did get her to eat a piece of toast and her antibiotics and 2 bottles of juice . I think the antibiotics will work overnight and she will be better bless her .
We are both knackered here was with Mum from 10 am till half 4 l couldn't work now to save my life 🤣

Just taken ds2 to work. He was asked to go in as the same person as usual just didn't show up. Ridiculous.
Lovely day here a bit of a breeze but fingers crossed.
Noticed 2 flowers on my other tom plant, hope they don't shrivel up and die too. Once sun gets round a bit will put them outside.

Phew! Coffee time. Kitchen cleaned, fridge cleaned, washing out. Dead headed. Took the curtain of the front door and its in the wash....fingers crossed its kinda heavy!
Plants outside. Hoover is sitting looking at me but it can wait10 minutes😁

Making the most of the sunshine, its rare around here lately.

Not fair that your Ds2 had to go in because someone just didn’t bother turning up 🙄. Hope you got to sit down with that coffee and enjoy the sunshine. ☕️🌞
Been busy today , washing , washed hair , hoovered ,then up town top ranking 🤣 picked up a prescription, then Morrisons , returning a parcel to Argos, Drs to make an appointment for a routine ECG , no point in ringing ,am on the phone for hours 🙄. Tesco on the way back . Put it all away and had some dinner , only a salad roll . Just got the washing in. Dh doing the watering now . We are waiting for the water board to come and mend the leak again 🙄 no sign of them despite them messaging me to say move the cars off the road because they were coming on the 7th . Whoopy doo 😡

Funnily enough I had a ham salad sarnie as well and a bag of crisps. Suddenly realised was starving.
Washing in and folded, hoovering done, well i didn't do stairs as my back was raging after doing everywhere else. Stairs can wait till tomorrow. Booked blood test, curtain out, plants back in now and toms are in sink being fed.

You’ve done washing, hoovering, plants, tomatoes AND booked your blood test practically a full day’s work! Ham salad and crisps sounds like the perfect emergency starving person dinner too 🤣😋. Now stay sat down and don’t even LOOK at housework ! 😁😂❤️

Curtain is in, got seed heads from my cream foxglove but nowt in them! Oh well maybe they will self seed themselves. There's still more to come so might get more. Watered pots out back, dry despite rain! Will check out front later.

Glad the curtain is in, one more thing ticked off! Typical there’s nowt in the foxglove seed heads 🙄 . Hopefully they will self seed. Funny how the pots are still dry despite the rain.

Well I made a cuppa and got new tea bags to put in and added them to my list so just checked everything so now my list for next week is a decent one! My box in c.u.s is looking empty! It's never ending!
Ooh chicken curry, yummmm I love a chicken korma myself.
I put the gammon in freezer so we can have it on a day off for ds2. Cant reheat a gammon slice properly. Haven't even made tea! Ds1 can do sonething for himself he's old enough i think😉

There’s always something to add to the list @Thebookofcarolagain😂 .At least you’ve got a decent list for next week now, even if the C.U.S box is looking a bit sad! 😁
Good idea freezing the gammon for a day when Ds2 is off, no point ruining it by reheating it. And yes, I completely agree, Ds1 is definitely old enough to sort himself something out! 😉

Been pottering putting washing away, dishes etc now in my jammies and plonked on sofa again 😁

I can never have a Cinnamon Whirl from Aldi's again but I did eat my fair share before I knew l was Coeliac so l can't complain @Thebookofcarolagain 🤣.

Was nice first thing now clouding over again. 😡
Ds2 is going up to Edinburgh with mates to celebrate ones birthday. He mentioned it a few days ago, the birthday guy wanted to stay overnight....I pointed out its August festival time! Not a snowball in hells chance of getting anywhere to stay! Ds and his mate don't want to stay anyway so are gonna drag birthday guy home one way or another 😁
I need to organise a day we can go up to the festival. It's lovely walking around with all the street performers doing thier thing. Gonna check out train prices save me a drive but I suspect it will not be cheap.
No big plans today, taking it easy 😁

Just about jumped out my skin.
A young thrush just flew into my living room window with an almighty thud! Its landed in a pot but i think it is no more, it has ceased to be, its expired and gone to meet its maker.. (its not moving anymore)
Now I gotta go pull a dead bird out my plants eughhhh!
Damm i was relying on it to eat my snails!

Been to see Mum who was much better today thankfully, she ate and drank really well for me bless her . Just one hinegoi g to have so e cheese and tomato rolls for dinner 😋 and a nice cuppa . Picking Dd2 up from Bristol airport later this afternoon she's had a wonderful time in Dublin they have really enjoyed it 😁
Oh poor little thrush @Thebookofcarolagain! 😱 That must have absolutely made you jump out of your skin. What a horrible job having to retrieve it from your plant too 🤢. And just when you were relying on it to do a bit of snail control! Hopefully it’s only stunned and might come round, although it doesn’t sound promising if it’s still not moving. 💔
Edinburgh during festival time will be brilliant though! 😁 I can just imagine the birthday boy thinking an overnight stay sounds like a great idea until he discovers the prices and availability! 😂 Good luck to them dragging him home 🤣. I’d definitely look at the trains too, much nicer than driving and parking up there. Enjoy your quiet day and take it easy, you deserve it. Hope the weather brightens up again too. I never drive into Edinburgh these days if possible. It's a damm nightmare, it's been ruined by stupid councils one wsy systems, putting giant planters in middle of junctions etc. We park at park and ride and get train in.
But I would rather get the train from here. Save me the hassle. 😄
Yeah thrush was well and truly dead. Poor thing.

Have bern out and fed all pots at front, my poor sunflowers! Dead headed, put canes in to hold up the mystery plant in a pot, its probably a weed but looks kinda majestic! Tied sunflowers up top border to fence higher up as they are taller than it now and deadheaded poppies. Got foxglove seeds, deep red poppy seeds too.

Its getting very cloudy out back now, can just see pale blue sky over the sea but grey here.
Watched GW and Beechgrove in between.
Now sitting down and gonna watch another episode of I Claudius.

Crikey Edinburgh sounds like an absolute nightmare to drive into @Thebookofcarolagain 😱. Park and ride and the train sounds much more sensible, although I agree, getting the train from home would be even better and save you all the faffing.
Sad to hear the Thrush was dead but at least he's not suffering in pain . Poor little thing didn't stand a chance 😭
You've been busy in the garden again! Your poor Sunflowers, they certainly need a bit of TLC, but at least you've got them tied up now. I love the sound of your mystery plant , even if it is a weed, if it's looking majestic it can stay! 😂 .And you've got some lovely seeds saved, the deep red poppies will be gorgeous.
Sounds like the weather is definitely closing in now. Typical after you've been out sorting everything! At least you've got a good episode of I Claudius to watch , sounds like a pretty perfect afternoon to me. 😊 Wasn't GW lovely this week l mean it's lovely every week but l really loved it this week.

I remember watching I Claudius when l was about 15 it was the very hot Summer of '76 . I have not seen it since but l remember the acting was magnificent and Derek Jacobi was out of this world
