I did at one point but didn't face a dragon just bandits on the road. Won though😁 Then it crashed. 😡 then ut did it again a bit later after I found a horse snd its dead rider do off I went on tge horse...crash. Gave up and watched you tube. I am in bed! In bed by 10.30!!! Couldn't keep my eyes open. Of course that will change now 😁

I cannot believe how different your summer is/has been to mine BookofCarol . We finally got a bit of rain overnight the last couple of nights , but my garden is looking so sad - lots of drooping leaves still , lots of dead brown branches , and my amelanchier has decided its autumn and the leaves have all turned red .
How great that you have got some decent gf pizza bases Dirtie - a small victory !
The nights haven't got much cooler here at all , but it may cool down by Thursday
We had the twins on Saturday , they were an utter joy on the new birthday bikes - we have a very safe cul de sac , so I stood at the 'road' end as a human bollard ,and DH was keeping an eye on them as they learned to turn around curves and braking . All wonderful
They are due tomorrow for an overnight stay , so I have been clearing up all my craft stuff littered around the spare bedroom . Its looking a bit wet and horrid , so puddle suits will be coming back out ( hope they still fit! ) along with umbrellas . Puddles are still high on enjoyment factor .
My tomatoes are in serious ripening mode now - its a good year , and am busy making batches of pasta sauce for the freezer . I even managed a savoy cabbage , once I had stripped all the outside leaves off ( crispy and singed , though I have been watering) - it was still nice on the inside . Just another 5 to use up over the next couple of weeks 😅
Glad you have had a nice break Friday - we didn't see the eclipse , and I did jump when we got the alert ...
DD1's back yard is now looking much better , and we had a fab win for her . We have a local free site on fb , and someone was giving away a really nice folding top dining table and matching chairs , so we got that for her . Looks so nice in her house . She did have donated table and non matching chairs , but this set is in much nicer condition . We managed to pick it up and squeeze it all into the car , so took it to hers straight away .
Time for my bed , am tired - last night the smoke alarm downstairs went off at midnight . Flew down the stairs , couldn't find out what had triggered it at all , switched it off , but it stopped me getting back to sleep easily . Still not sure why it went off - it has a 10 year battery in it , and we have only had it a couple of years 🙄

What a great find @bookbook your dd is lucky you had your eyes peeled for her. That fire alarm going off is strange. Very annoying. I had the controller replaced as mine wouldn't go off when tested! They are temperamental things 😁
I have given up on my tomatoes. One teeny tomato from 2 plants😡 All that effort for nothing. Never had that before.
Same weather here today cloudy/sun peeking through when it can. Just rubbish.
Had some of the bakery bread for my toast this morning. Very nice but am not convinced its a wholemeal loaf, think they gave me the wrong one but it is lovely.
Better get recycling bin out, ds1 is supposed to be doing it but but still waiting.😡

Have spent half an hour on my hands ahd knees scrubbing bathroom floor and skirting. boards. Woodwork looks ok but vinyl still looks rubbush in parts. . I hate that stuff! Maybe it will lighten up a bit as it dries properly. Used tons of bleach this time.😄

I'm have given up on the tomatoes too after one tiny tomato from two plants! 😡🍅 Such a shame after all that effort. Weather sounds rubbish there too, and now bucketing rain and fog! 😡 . Well done scrubbing the bathroom floor and skirting boards though. Hopefully the vinyl will look better once it’s properly dry. If not, I’d blame the vinyl after all that bleach! 😂
Hope DS1 eventually got the recycling bin out too bless him!
I have been busy here today, cleaned the fridge freezers then did the shopping, put it all away , hoovered , cleaned the loo downstairs, put the washing out , hoovered the bedrooms and cleaned the bathroom and finally put the washing away! 😆
In the middle of all that we visited Mum who was fine thankfully 😁.
Got to have some tea bit l don't fancy anything tbh 🙄 .

Your weather sounds as bad as ours had been @bookbook. The Amelanchier deciding it’s autumn already 😱. Hopefully everything perks up a bit now we’ve had some rain. The twins sound absolutely adorable on their new bikes. Human bollard duty made melol 😂 . Hope the puddle suits still fit . I’m sure the puddles will be a huge hit! Your Tomatoes sound amazing. You’ll be well stocked with pasta sauce for the winter, and well done on rescuing the savoy cabbage! Five more though good luck with those as well. What a brilliant find for DD1 too. A matching table and chairs for free is a proper result, and lovely that you managed to squeeze it all into the car and get it straight to hers. And how annoying about the smoke alarm going off at midnight! I’d have been wide awake after flying down the stairs too. Hopefully it behaves itself tonight for you 🙏🤗. Hope you have a lovely sleepover with the twins bless them.

You have had a very busy day i am tired just reading that.
I had the left over chicken and a baked spud with some cherry toms thrown in oven with the spud. Ds1 got a pizza inspired by ds2 last pm. I need to think about what to do for tomorrow's tea. (He did put the bin out this morning though.) Mind you it's still sitting there 🤣
I just had a pineapple lolly for pud and there's the damm ice cream van again! 😡
Need to get up and do dishes, bleh.
Bathroom floor looks better but still not perfect. Oh well tough.
Garron is fab, love him, gladly accept the blame of you going down the crazy rabbit hole with him.🤣🤣

Yeeeeeuuuukk! Went out for bin and spied snails and slugs... got about 3 dozen of the damm things on walls and plants. Didn't even check every plant in bottom border or do top border! Missed getting a couple over the fence but threw most of them over. Grossssss🤮 Started of just drizzle now heavier again so came in. Just stop!

Ds2 might come with will see. He is off today and went out with mates last night till 1 so he might not be bothered to go. He wasn't blootered or anything just had a nice time after work.

Hi everyone 🤗,
I have been so busy today I had to go for a ECG at 20 to 9, anyway to cut a long story short I made an appointment for three weeks today to see my doctor to discuss whatever they found out in the ECG, nobody told me if there was anything wrong or right with it they just do it and my Dr will look at it and tell me.Then up to see Mum who was fine thankfully. She's hit her hand and it's got a dressing on it. It was nasty yesterday bless her but the nurses have dressed it and she seemed in less discomfort with it .
Then popped to see my Mum's friend the one with breast cancer and took her some flowers , she was fine there thankfully. Popped to see to my Mum's house and pick up the post . Also this afternoon we had to have a firm in to cut the hedge at the back . It's cost an awful lot of money £540 about it's so expensive but it's for our privacy otherwise we will be overlooked . We have to have it done every 3 years to keep it down its done now anyway but what a lot of money 🙄. I had a terrible headache but l think it's the stress from the ECG 🙄. What are we like 🤣.

Blimey that's a heck of a lot just to trim a hedge! But if its a tall one then I can see it costing a fair whack. At least thats it for another few years. (Give you time to save up !😉)

Sorted out freezer drawers and inventoried it. Went shopping on my own, didn't need much. Quick in and out. (No plant bargains!) Was very good, stuck to my list apart from a small jar of pasta sauce just to coat pasta and some caramel Tim Tams 🤣Considered gettinga coffee but Costa isn't the best and never hot so skipped out and had one at home.
Put washing out despite the looming clouds and its stayed dry.
Was tired of just sitting on sofa and sun came out so have been in garden cutting back, pulling poppies and collecting seeds. My delphinium has flowers😁 Very pale yellow. Propped it up with a branch as starting to lean due to its position. Got a few more snails😁
I got a cooked chicken in Aldi for easy tea. Ds2 suggested chicken in gravy on the bakery rolls. Sounds good to me. Risked getting British plums and they are really nice, score.
I suppose I had better start tea..oh joy.

I think you’re right about the ECG @Thebookofcarolagain, but I’ll still worry a bit until I know! 🙄. Fingers crossed. And thank you so much l really hope Mum’s hand heals quickly too. ❤️
That hedge was bloody expensive! 😳 It is a tall one though, and it was 3 men and it took them over 3 hours and they took away everything and it was a hellova lot of tree ,so I suppose it’s not too bad when you think how long it should last. Gives us plenty of time to save for the next one! 😂
You’ve been busy again missy, freezer sorted, shopping done and you even resisted the plants! 😂 The caramel Tim Tams were obviously essential though! 🤣 Good call on skipping Costa too, nothing worse than an expensive lukewarm coffee.

Had a couple of gf NYC bagels cheese and mango chutney and a pkt of cheese and onion crisps for tea 😋.

Washing still isn't dry. Leaving it till 8 them will hang up in my room. Cant leave it out cos rain is forecast later.
Never been a fan of bagels, bit too stodgy for me. But that's just me. Maybe never had a really good one.😄
That hedge sounds a lot of work so i guess worth the money.

Got some choc milkshake in Aldi Ds1 asked for a certain white choc one and said they do a Belgian choc one too. It's not too shabby.

Hope you manage to get the washing dry later, typical that the rain decides to turn up just when you've got washing out. 🙄 Hanging it in your room is probably your best bet.
I'm with you on bagels, I find them a bit too stodgy too. But l am a bit stuck 🙄.
That milkshake though, I might have to look out for the Belgian choc one next time I'm in Aldi. Ds1 obviously has very specific milkshake requirements! 😂
