Colmar, France

Has anyone been to Colmar?
im considering going for a night or 2, by myself, just because it looks beautiful!
id fly from either Manchester or Liverpool, i think either to Geneva or Basel? Then get the train to colmar
if anyone has been I’d really appreciate some tips!

Closest airports would be Basel or Strasbourg. Geneva is a considerable distance - both Zurich and Stuttgart are closer and take about half as long by train.

Colmar is lovely indeed, also quite small and gets very touristy at harvest time. You might consider making a longer trip of it and taking in either Freiburg just across in Germany or Strasbourg to the North. Or a couple of days walking or doing a wellness break in the Vosges mountains.ť

It's a nice place for a few days. You could also fly to Karlsruhe/Baden Baden and get there by train.
