Anyone else wish they could move away and start again?

Does anyone wish they could just pack up and run away? I don’t hate living here but feel my life isn’t working out how I’d have wanted. If I moved, I could start again and redefine my life. Anyone else feel this way or have even acted on it?

I know what you mean.
I love watching a Place In The Sun and see what you get in a lovely village in Spain for hardly any money and I just think one day ........

I am bored and nothing exciting happening here. In one week I will move to another country. I am excited. Lots of plans what I am going to do. I know the language but planning to go a language course during the school hours and later looking for a job.

Ive done exactly that, but sadly taken myself with me and nothing other than my environment has changed. Its for the better so a good start

I have done exactly that and it was the best thing I ever did, right up to the point where I stupidly got back into contact with family members a couple of years later who took it upon themselves to tell other people where I had gone.

Next time I move, I won't make that mistake.

It really depends whether your problems are internal or external though.

I had external sources ruining my life, so I could leave all the bad behind.

If it's something in you, you'll find you have the same problems with different scenery, and possibly less support if you have decent friends where you are now.

You don't have to move. You can redefine your life any time or place you like.

Me i would love to move away and not tell people where i have moved to due to now being nc with dsis and dm and we all live so close. Sadly not possible at the moment due to young adult dc one who still lives at home and needs to be in the area for his job and the other potentially moving back home if things don’t work out with their partner
