Ds1 treated you very well. With the steak and gravy pie and donut 😋 🍩 sounds like the perfect reward to me 😁. Fingers crossed the car sensors stay calm and the rain holds off for a bit. It is nice that you got to enjoy some spring sights too. Lambs and daffodils always cheer things up 🤗
Had a cuppa and a piece of carrot cake for dinner . Thinking of having fish and chips tonight , only in the air fryer not a takeaway 😁

You’ve had a full on day @Thebookofcarolagain . I wouldn’t be calling that lazy at all, hospital trips alone wipe you out, never mind everything else you’ve done. And fair play, dishes and washing done is a win 🤗
Love that you went for a wander instead of sitting there getting bored, did you the world of good l bet . And I can just picture you marching in the room ,like move over, I’ve got this! Armed to the teeth with a needle and syringe and a terrified Dd1 in the chair 🤣

I.asked his nurse specialist who always comes over for a chat before we go, why not just cut his arm just a tiny bit, save time?? 😉😁😁
Had our fish and croquettes instead of chips again. I had a roasted tomato and ds had broccoli and sugar snaps. I put a cinnamon roll in the oven after the croquettes then realised I had had a donut! Too late, oh well...😂😂

Spent £90 in Tesco in groceries and £68 on petrol
Unleaded Petrol was 144.9 a lt today 🙄

Fuel prices are gonna keep rising due to USAs war. We will all pay the price. And groceries give you a heart attack at the till.
Weather here changes every few minutes @DirtyGertiefromno30 . Sunny, cloudy, windy its a real pain. Its now dark clouds and howling wind.

Just a pottery day washing etc.
Need to get on and make sure my car insurance and house insurance are going through. Arghh costs a fortune. I hate doing stuff like this it stresses me out.

Weather sounds all over the place too, typical. Definitely a stay in and potter kind of day.
Those insurance jobs are such a pain. Once it’s done at least you can relax for the year 😊
Ours is due end of April l must get some quotes sorted out will have a look over the weekend. Hateful job you have my sympathy 🙄

I have lost 10 years off my life trying to sort out car insurance. I couldn't get on the portal to double check it so went on chat. After 2 agents sending me links to reset the same bloody email and change my password i still couldn't get on they said try registering. It comes up we already have these details, log in....then when i do it comes up this doesn't match our database! Gave up and went on website for company and amazingly it worked then I was offered extra protection which I was gonna take but the keyboard changed to put in my bank details and for some reason it doesn't have an oblique sign and I couldn't find a way to change the to standard so just before I texted the guy to explain this he ended the bloody chat. Arghhhhh. Half an hour of tech hell. And I have a new keyboard I cant change back.

That sounds like pure torture @Thebookofcarolagain 😩 going round in circles like that would drive anyone mad.
You did well sticking it out that long, most would have given up sooner. And typical that just as it starts working, the keyboard messes up and the agent disappears 🙄
I’d leave it for a bit and try again later. Sometimes it behaves the second time 🤞.
Half an hour of that is blooming draining. Go have a breather and a cuppa and perhaps a 🍩 🤣

I am leaving it today @DirtyGertiefromno30 Car insurance is in place that will do. Phoned about my contents insurance, took about 5 mins to speak to someone but was done in 10. The automated blurb kept telling me "Hey do you want to know a quick and easy way to renew, go online...." I just kept telling it to F off no it wasn't 🤣🤣
Ds2 was going to work. I told him i needed some stress relief and said i could walk him to work with my Lucille, he wouldn't let me out the door, spoilsport! 😄😄
Gad a cuppa and a tea cake earlier so was good and just had a coffee.

well, dont talk to me about tech 🙄we have ( well DH ..) had a right old do with it . We got fibre put in a couple of months ago , working beautifully . It has a fancy router . When it was installed , we put in a basic password , and was told we could change it to a more secure one . Came home from Tenerife , DH got around to doing it . You have to have an app on your phone . Well .......just dont ask . 2 long calls to the help desk . Finally , DD1 came home from work today , and DH bowed to the inevitable , as we have not had any internet today due to him having another go . She sorted it in about 15 mins . Its a fancy router that can 'pause' use of different devices ( Parental control thing I assume ) . He had managed to switch everything onto pause when he changed the password . Words fail me .
We had a very late lunch out . Supposedly we were having the day out , because ( I'll let you into a secret} Its our 50th wedding anniversary today . Ah well , guess I wont chuck him back now .
BookofCarol - my trip to the garden centre - firstly I got the packet of tomato seeds - 8 , yes 8 seeds - nothing fancy , just Sungold which I have been buying for years! I bought myself a new erysimum Bowes Mauve - I normally take cuttings every year , as they are not long lived , but forgot last year , and the frosts seem to have done for them . We also got a couple of small scale evergreens to plug holes in a bit of hedge , so a lovey yellow leaved berberis , and a variegated Osmanthus . Both supposedly grow to about 1.5 m , but they usually get higher here for some reason !
DH is making tea at least , in an act of contrition 😷

Oh heck @bookbook what a faff good that your dd could sort it out. Why is everything so complicated?
I love erysimum, beautiful colours but not sure they would do well in my garden without a lot of extra ground prep. Maybe? They had beautiful berberis when I was shopping the other day but they grow too hig for my teeny garden. Not sure if clipping the top would kill or cure it.

Oh I felt that whole tech saga in my soul @bookbook🙄.
Why is it always quick and easy until you actually try to do it. Two calls to the help desk and then DD1 swoops in like a tech superhero and fixes it in 15 minutes. Typical 😂 and Dh accidentally pausing the whole house is just brilliant, you could not make it up 😁.
But hold on a minute. 50th wedding anniversary 🥂💛 that is amazing. Huge congratulations to you both. That is something really special. I think after 50 years he has just about earned the right to mess up the WiFi now and then 🤣 so no, definitely you are not chucking him back now 😁
Late lunch out sounded lovely even if the day did not quite go to plan, and fair play to him for making tea as a peace offering. I would be milking that for all it is worth if I were you 😏

Sunny but wind is still howling around, really sick of it now.
No big plans today, just boring housework. Might try to persuade ds2 to finish the tree before he goes to work later.

Tree is done, yeah. Ds2 came out and cut it and cut up the branches while I sorted them and bagged the bits I didn't want. Shame about the time of year, not gonna get a lot of blossom this year now but I have a few small branches with buds on in a vase, you never know. At least the fan light and cables on side of house wont be battered any more.

Wind is noisy but not really cold so we had fun doing the tree.
Ds2 got his birthday card from his grandad. He said seeing 21st birthday made him think he is getting old...he is now in a bag beside the tree branches to go to skip! 🤣🤣

We are going out for a meal on Wed when he is off. His dad isn't coming over as they are going to thier Gds with him at the weekend as its his birthday too so going for a joint celebration. I will have a few days without mystery dishes appearing overnight! 🤣🤣
