Suns hidden by clouds here and its freezing and raining.

Have done bathroom and some dishes, not in the mood for housework but will get more done later.
Saxifrage is still alive in gravel 🤞. My nasturtiums seedlings are growing too. Hopefully they wont sĺall be decimated by white butterfly caterpillars this year.

Sounds like you made the most of the sunshine getting the washing dry. Nothing beats sheets dried on the line. Hope the drizzle holds off so you don’t have to dash out for them.
Nice that you’ve been sorting the garden too. Repotting DD1’s plants before she moves is lovely, especially the ones she likes. The Hydrangeas sound a great find and should do well with fresh compost and feed.
Tea sounds delicious as well, Gammon, roast potatoes and creamy leeks will be lovely with everyone there.

Watching a murderer being interviewed by this awesome detective. He was surprised he was being questioned about said murder victim. Feigning innocence etc. "You are questioning me about a murder?"

Detective says "This isn't the pretend homicide office. It's not the I am kinda dead but might come back alive tomorrow office, this is the HOMICIDE dept."
Tbh dude was thick as mince. They had him at several atms cleaning out the dead guys bank account, he drove his car for 2 days before torching it, his dna was on cigars in the house, his shoes left bloody footprints and still had blood on the soles and he left bloody fingerprints! 😄 He continued to deny it right to the last minute then got a plea deal for admitting it. Life imprisonment no parole instead of death penalty.

Not a criminal mastermind 🤣🤣🤣

Sunny but absolutely freezing here too, looks nice out but it bites when you step outside. Just pottered about myself here, hoping l will get a nap soon but nothing happening yet🙄
We binged Small Prophets , definitely a bit weird but we loved it tbh 😁.
That interview sounds hilarious though 🤣. Some of them really do think they’re criminal masterminds when the evidence is basically shouting the answer. The detective’s line about the pretend homicide office is brilliant! Driving the victim’s car, using the ATMs, leaving bloody footprints and fingerprints honestly thick as mince sums it up perfectly 🤣
Having a cuppa now and DH has The Guns of Navarone on . I hope it bores me to sleep 🤣

I had heat pad on my back and dozed off! Ds1 and I just had sarnies earlier do better do the dishes I suppose. Had another hot cross buns. Definately not hugely cherry bakewell flavoured.

Have watched 3 episodes of SP. Different, I am not enjoying all the random stuff being put in I just want to concentrate on him and his dad and his coworker. But overall its different enough for me so far. (But that's just me. )
Ds finished work early today, just had a shorter shift and he brought back small Ferrero collection and Lindor assortment. He was gonna get them yesterday but didn't finish till after coop shut and of course slept in so I had to take him straight to work🤣🤣
Told him stop buying me choc! (While I clutched them to me 😁😁)

Ha ha Lindor is the bomb @ I have tried lots of them and I think the best are just the choc ( my faves) and the pistachio ones. I liked the coconut ones but they were a bit too sweet if I remember correctly.

Am watching you tube still, more interrogations. Why can't they actually talk??? Mumble mumble, can't string a sentence together. Its infuriating and doesn't bode well for the future generations. They are all teens (some even older) with kids and cant even talk bever mind standout of trouble. All on probation, past jail time etc. Sickening and says nothing for the USA education system or thier judicial system No rehab, just slave labour to make money from them. Uuughgh.

Anyway she has confirmed l have got Lichen nothing to worry about on exam , so back to 6 monthly check ups and continue with the creams thank God for that. So as a little celebration we are going to McArthur Glen shopping centre 😁👏.

Those interrogation videos are fascinating but very frustrating. The mumbling 🙄 just speak properly! It’s sad seeing how young some of them are and already in such trouble. Makes you wonder what’s gone wrong with them along the line. Still oddly addictive though 😱.

Albert Tatlock! I was trying to remember his name last might I could picture him but not get the name, thanks @DirtyGertiefromno30 yep proper stories not over hyped nonsense from a quiet street. I stopped all the soaps donkeys years ago, so much going on in one tiny place its ridiculous.
Yeah those people up for murder, its just a sad reflection of society in some places. Poor, not encouraged to complete education, gangs, no empathy, not a care for anyone elses life, people are just a way to get money from them any way they can for thier lifestyle. They all 'smoke' multiple times a day or do other stuff. How do you live day in day out in a continual fog? There needs to be a concerted programme to reach the younger ones and stop the cycle but USA especially, doesn't care about them, thier prisons are privately owned and use slave labour to make cheap goods for the military and others. The gov pays them to house them. They have the highest incarceration rate in the developed world, mainly black young men. Thier system is weird. Get done 3 times for drugs...40 years in jail. Violent offenders x 2 offences ? slap on wrist, probation, till you kill someone. Stalkers? Women cant do anything till they hurt/kill them. Restraining order isn't worth the paper it's printed on. It's so messed up.

Came home from the shopping centre didn't buy anything but DH had 2 polo tops in Joules .
Then had to go to the Drs for another blood test ,they didn't do my thyroid when l went last time and they have to check it again . Went to get a bit of food shopping and then went to see my Mum's friend and took her some flowers for Mother's day . Then my sister messaged to say that Mum was very sleepy and hadn't had a drink or anything to eat for her so l went up to see Mum then . Just got back now Mum had a good drink for me and a banana and a cup of tea thank God.
Just come home now phew!
I am going to have a ready meal and a cuppa l am parched here!

I know exactly what you mean about the old soaps @Thebookofcarol.Characters like Albert Tatlock and Ena Sharples were great because the stories were just about normal life on a street. Now they try to cram every possible drama into one place and it just feels unrealistic.
And yes, some of those crime cases are really sad when you look at the background. When people grow up with very little support, poor education and crime around them, it becomes a cycle that’s hard to break. Early help for younger kids would probably make the biggest difference, but it’s complicated and every country seems to struggle with how to handle crime, drugs and prison systems fairly.
The stalking situation is frightening too. It’s awful that people often have to wait until something serious happens before authorities can properly step in unfortunately 🙄

Have sorted out the freezer, Dropped ds2 at work, went to coop for milk and ds1 went to chemist to collect his meds and mine. He went to coop too and came back with medjoll dates and Baklava as a late MD pressie. arghhh! They are killing me with kindness 🤣🤣
Have checked and inventoried freezer, hoovered, heated chilli for tea, done dishes and am chilling for the night now.
Gave ip on one of the crime vids. 17yr old murderer, threw a tantrum cos he had to wait 5 mins, had handcuffs on all the time due to his behaviour, disrespectfull, called for some "bitches" to come attend to him, loudly ranted gibberish constantly, had a royal pity party till I could stand it no longer. Glad I am not a detective, he would have got a real rolliking from me! 😡🤣

Sounds like you’ve had a full on day too @ThebookofCarol! Sorting the freezer and doing all that running about would be enough for me on its own, never mind the hoovering and cooking as well.
Your boys are sweet though Medjool dates and baklava as a late Mother’s Day treat! No wonder you say they’re killing you with kindness 🤣 That’s a dangerous combo to have in the house 😂
Some of those interrogations are hard to watch when the person is just obnoxious the whole time. The tantrums and disrespect make it unbearable after a while. I think I’d have switched it off too I don’t have the patience for that sort of behaviour. You’d need the patience of a saint to deal with people like that every day.
Anyway, sounds like the best plan now is exactly what you’re doing, feet up, relax, and enjoy a peaceful evening after all that.

Wind returned last night howling round the house. Sunny now but still a bit windy.
Been fighting with the bed as usual to change the sheets etc🤣 Wash on, have taken bananas out freezer to use some up, maybe muffins. Need to use up the cooking apples too hmmm. Might do apple muffins too if I have enough butter and freeze half.
