Online CPD providers recognised by the NHS

Can anyone recommend a training provider recognised by the NHS for CPD which offers online courses?

British citizen, UK born, British parent but trained abroad and need to fill the UK/ NHS specific gaps in specific regulations, data protection and so on in order to get overseas qualification recognised to apply for NHS clinical roles.

What specific courses do you need to get? I didn’t get any specific qualifications in data protection separate but did the e-learning that is mandatory when starting with the NHS

I'm not sure about your specific courses, but NHS Elect offer some very good, free for members, CPD.

Is there a professional organisation for your field that you can join, eg RCM, RCN? They have training

Thank you! I think that might be the usual catch 22 of needing an NHS work email to access the professional courses, but it looks as though some things are available to everyone, so I'll register and have a look, thank you!

oh interesting. There's a (very long) mapping document to show qualification equivalency and it requires knowledge of UK data protection, data recording, safeguarding and equality and diversity laws, rather than the laws of the country the qualifications were completed in.

This is a good idea, I'll check - in this slight limbo situation I'm not sure it is an option, but perhaps it is.

I can't find any options for individual membership - do you know whether this is possible by any chance? Maybe I'm missing something, I can only find organisational membership plans.

Many charities run online courses which can used for CPD purposes. I've done a couple of ones ran by the Sepsis Trust, they were really good. Only cost about a tenner.
