Moving up nappy/diaper size

Hello just wondering if anyone can help with moving up nappy/ diaper sizes. DD is 1 month old and weighing 8lbs 9oz at health visit a couple days ago. We are using mamia size 1 nappies just now which are for 4lbs-11lbs. Next size up is for 6lbs-11lbs. Just wondering if I should change to size 2 - the straps aren't tight to get on and seem fine but the leg parts seem to be making considerable marks around her little thighs and just worried this is hurting or uncomfortable for her. Only reasoning for sizing up would be the tightness/marks around her legs. TIA x

I’d size up. As soon as they seem tight anywhere I size up numbers on the packets are just a guide. Every baby’s shape is diffrent xx

I find the Aldi/lidi nappies smaller in size/fit than pampers. You normally size up when it is hard to fit across the bottom or struggle to hold an overnight's worth of urine

Definitely try the next size up and see how they are instead. We used Lidl nappies and always found our little one needed one size up from what the suggested weight/sizes were on the packet.

If you're wondering about sizing up, then it's time to size up.

You'll move into the bigger size soon enough, get a pack to try on and see. They won't be wasted 🙂

When they leave marks like that you need to size up. Ignore the weight part. Babies are different lengths and some are skinny some are chubby so nappies don't fit the same
