We relocated to Cheshire 5 years ago. Love the area, we both have good jobs here and have a great standard of living.
We have a 4 year old and 1 year old. We have no local family so it’s not always easy when they are poorly and thinking ahead, juggling school drop offs and pick ups etc so will have to rely on after school clubs etc..
I miss my friends from home, we go on holidays together and have weekends together when we can but day to day I find it hard up here.
I’ve met a few people through play dates at pre school but I don’t consider them close enough to go out for dinner/drinks with, will that change now my eldest is starting school in September?
My friends back home see each other all the time, go out etc, and I feel so boring when I see them as I have nothing to add to conversations other than what my kids have been up to, my husband and I can’t go out together as we don’t have the childcare so I feel like all we do is work and parent….
