Hi all, hope everybody is well.

So I am a first time mum to be at the age of 42.

I have been for 2 scans in the last 4 days due to being overly anxious and worried (plus the first scan lady wasn't very reassuring). One said I was 6w5d (7w today) the other saying i was 6w2d (today).

The first day of my last period was 1 may 2024 and they usually last 2 days and my cycles are usually 25/26 days, so I have no idea which to go off.

Both scans were internal, and showed the yolk sac had formed but neither showed a fetal pole. I was told that some women can see a baby and heartbeat at this stage, but some don't see anything but the yolk sac, but as you can imagine I'm now worried sick.

I have been advised to go back by the first lady in 2 weeks, the second said a week.

I have no idea what to think or do. I have no bleeding or considerable pain. just sore breasts and tiredness.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bumping for you.

It's the hardest thing in the world to be patient about this stuff - I've been there. But honestly the best thing you can do is wait a bit longer. There is no point worrying when it's entirely possible that you are just too early to see something yet. Sending hugs x
