Hi first post here, I have a 4 month old baby and recently I had to go into hospital myself for a respiratory virus, I was in for 4 days and hospital could only
provide me with a breast pump for 2 times I was there the whole time, my mother brought my own pump and when sterilising after one use the part that creates a vacuum was washed down the drain 🤦🏻‍♀️ so all in all in the 4 days there I only got to pump 3 times

sonce being home with my little boy again on Thursday night (23 March) I’m not getting any milk production back in my breasts, the whole time I was in hospital they were so sore all the time and hard and now I’ve been home and fed my son the once the milk just hasn’t come back and I’m worried I won’t be able to continue breast feeding him

any help and guidance on what I can do will be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry you've been unwell. Hope you're feeling on the mend now.

Will baby latch to feed? I would do lots of skin to skin and encourage him to be close to your boobs to feed regularly. But you need to be expressing or feeding really regularly, like every couple of hours like a newborn would to try and up your supply again. If you're not getting much from a pump you might get more luck hand expressing. Fenugreek supplements are supposed to be helpful in increasing supply too.

It might be worth speaking to someone like La Leche League ( their info pages on their website are good too) or the National Breastfeeding helpline for specific support.

Sorry you've been unwell too @Kloe1705

I think you might need some support too. Have you tried ringing one of the BFing Helplines?
