H All
good morning
after 5 years of trying and ivf we have a lovely girl born on 22nd September.
she is three weeks early , with placenta previa , c-section was performed at 37 weeks.

she looks very pink all over her body.
noticed this from day one. Thought will get better. But still seems not fading. We can see her normal skin tone in patches in face.

she had slight jaundice which got better by day 5.

asked midwife who did not seems concerned ( any way midwife is not much helpful)

We are very worried to see if this will go away
Dr Google is showing search results for polycthemia

it will be great if anyone can share any insights please

thanks in advance

Congratulations on the birth of your baby.

I don’t have any experience but I do think you would be best to book to see a GP to put your mind at rest.

Thank you
went to A&E and saw a peadiatric consultant.
they did not seem concerned.
but like when we look at her it is really evident .
will try and see to book an appointment with GP
thanks

Hi @Zeevah, you'll get more traffic if yiu start a new post in the "Children's health" section of the "Health" topic, and call your thread "Baby is bright red" or something a bit more specific.

will do

Is she warm enough? Newborns can look red if they are cold. Congratulations.

we are putting two layers of clothes plus blanket. And room is always 20degress.
so sure she is not cold
thanks
