Life in Windsor

First post..hope
I'm doing this right! I'm in West London living walking distance from good schools and outstanding high schools which is very much the reason I'm still here. Only thing is don't really like the area much, am in need of a fresh start and am contemplating moving to more leafy, village-y Windsor. Was hoping to get some insight from mums in Windsor about good state schools and high schools and family life in general. Also info on best places in Windsor to live and what's best avoided. Any advice much appreciated. Many Thanks.

I’m very close to Windsor and have family there..
it’s an expensive area but if you’re moving from London I assume you’re used to that.
Great place to live. West Windsor (Dedworth) not so nice.
Old Windsor not as expensive but way less central.
Lots of great schools.
Town is great. Lovely pubs/restaurants/parks!
