Hi there, am new on here and looking for some advice. Starting to feel really broody five years after having my lovely boy, i love the idea of having another but am worried about coming off of my statin medication for conception and pregnancy, I am only 26 and feel like I can’t and won’t enjoy next potential pregnancy due to my anxiety regarding my condition (super high cholesterol due to FH) Sad many TIA xx

Hello and welcome to MN Thanks

How did you cope last time without the statins? Smile

Hi there, thanks for the reply, I was only 20 last time and hadn’t bothered to go and start my statins at that point so was told when I was pregnant that I would have to go on them after delivery, I mean to ask my nurse every year at my annual check what she thinks on the matter but always feel so rushed I never get the chance Hmm I have read it’s not advised to stop them once starting so this is the issue for me

Is there a support organisation that you could talk to or could you call the Nurse and ask to speak to her?

If it's experience of a particular medical condition then you are probably better posting in Chat and putting the name of your medical condition in the header. That should get you a few more replies Smile
