Co-sleeping moving to cot

Hello. Could anyone give me any advice on moving my 7m baby from my bed to the cot. Baby has been cosleeping with me for a 4/5months now. Only moved to cosleeping due to an illness and never looked back.
Totally love Co-sleeping but it means my partner can't be in the same bed or even room. We both want him back in the bed and baby now needs to be in the cot.
Baby slept well in the next to me crib at the start, although was a front sleeper (shock horror! I know! But didn't sleep otherwise.. FYI back sleeper when Co-sleeping)
Anyway... Baby wakes up as soon as baby is moved to cot or put down onto cot.
Baby plays in cot during the day and is used to it. Won't nap in it though, that's always on me.
Has anyone else moved their baby to the cot at this age and how did you go about doing it?
Thanks in advance.
Bloody loved Co-sleeping, and I know this isn't the end of it but would like most nights with my partner in bed!

Just out of interest, can’t your partner sleep in the same bed? Smile

It's hard as we arent small people, but also he is the biggest fidget in the world. He doesn't trust himself next to baby as often goes into deep sleep and jumps around. If I'm that close to him he wakes me up all night moving!
Otherwise we could all share one bed!

Can you get a bigger bed?

Bigger bed is in order I think or have a 3ft bed right next to yours so you can have a cuddle.
