Temporary contract

Hi I’ve been on a temp contract for 6 month and was told this would be extended for another 9 months as they weren’t giving out permanent contracts yet and my male colleague who started at the same time was made permanent I feel like I’ve been kicked in the teeth I feel like I’ve been discriminated against because I have diabetes

Oh you poor thing! Why would diabetes be a reason for not being made permanent? My husband is a diabetic and he has had no trouble working.

Shit happens to all of us, we can't always work out why but all you need to do now is move on and up, dignity intact.

Don't be so ridiculous! Of course you have not been discriminated against because you have diabetes. No enough information to comment further though.

@Alfie190 - I'm assuming the OP has type one diabetes which is a disability requiring reasonable adjustments. You are right in saying that she doesn't give enough information, but really, would you dismiss discrimination as a possibility without the facts for another kind of disability.

@Tedted105 - do you want to give a few more details and people may be able to help
