Hi all, new mum to mumnet, excited to get chatting to you all over all the different topics!

My first question is; I have a 5 month old little boy he’s a big baba weighing nearly 19lbs 🤣 anywho, I have the silver cross pioneer pushchair but he is so alert and gets very cranky in the carrycot as it’s flat and he can’t see what’s going on, I really want to change over the the pushchair seat u it however it says on the pram not to use I till 6 months, as my boys a big boy I wanted your opinions on weather I should go for it or should I wait the extra month?

Thanks
Robyn

I'd do it. He'll be much happier when he can see what's going on around him.

He difantley would but do you think it would be okay for his spine etc?

Can he sit up unaided yet? If not, just put him in tbe middle recline position, he'll stikl be able to see a bit

Does the seat recline or is it an upright one? I've always used the seat from 3/4 months in a reclined position and slowly sat it up more often as they started to sit up and stay awake more.

TBH I'm amazed if you have a big baby he still fits in the carrycot at 5 months, mine outgrew it at 8 weeks. It was another brand but still.
