Childminder going rate

Just wondered what the current going rate was for a childminder caring for a child under 1.

It depends on whereabouts you live.
In London £7 - £8 per hour.

Ummm the one I've found seems great but charging £10. Calling herself a nanny but will be caring for our child in her home. To me this is more child minding??

I agree it’s not nannying if she’s doing it in her own home! Would she have other children there?

She will have her own child of the same age as mine.

Is she registered as a childminder? There's a lady near me who calls herself a nanny. because she's not registered, but has children all day in her own home which she shouldn't but hey ho

And charges £4.25 an hour

That is not a nanny and not a child minder either. Will be no ofsted, insurance maybe no crb I would keep looking.
