Annoying work collegue

Ok I work in a call centre screamed at all dat impossible targets but its a job and bills to pay but what to do about collegue who global emails 'her' motavitional quotes straight from google claims to be vegan yet drinks Gin and any drink from bar tap wears plastic alot as lol non animal ( really knows peta then lol) Its insulting and patronising noone else is allowed to send global emails but because she she is positive and ethical (not) its allowed? She claims to run a farm must be some way of proving .. is a Christain goes to church but supports various non christain ethics
.she is a fake melt .. HELP.. can't block her emails annoys others would love to expose fakeness to her not in public.. wouldn't be as cruel as she actually is to people

Why let it bother you so much? Delete the emails, smile and nod when she talks and just put her out of your mind.

I did NOT know that gin was not vegan so this has been educational.

I would probably just ignore her tbh.

Seems like most Gins are vegan. If you’ve got that wrong, you might want to start examining your other prejudices about her.

Most gins and lots of drinks from bar taps are vegan FYI. Just delete the emails without reading them? Stop thinking about them so much?

Just add a rule to your e-mail that puts her e-mails into a separate folder.

As a newbie, you probably aren't aware that MN doesn't really do lols, but it's not a term I generally see in too many posts.

Pretend to take them seriously, and email back with annoying questions. E.g. (this was the first inspirational quote to come up when I Googled)

Sorry let me clarify not all drinks are vegan she drinks wine beer from taps .. cider ..gin..No not are stouts and beers are vegan .. Animal derived products used in the production of alcohol include; Albumin – derived from egg whites (may be caged eggs); Casein – Protein derived from milk; Chitin – derived from the shells of crabs, lobsters, etc; Gelatine – from bones and connective tissues of cows or pigs; Isinglass - obtained from fish swim bladders.

Its not about what she drinks its the patronising emails .. so she works 40 hours plus 8 hours travel to and from work yet runs a sheep and pig farm single handed I can tell you it is b Running a farm full time job .. she spends a lot of her time out of work at christain meetings or in the pub my objections are that she projects she is s saint and soo good allowed to get away with things NOT allowed in work.

Berylstreep yes MN uses lol plenty you musn't have been reading same threads as me rest no as said not all drinks vegan a good chance most spirits but not etc .. Its her patronising emails I don't want yo read chicken soup for the soul etc and it should not be rammed in people's faces

I really don’t think this is the issue you think it is. Just delete her emails. Don’t even read them. You’re giving her way too much headspace.

And while I'm at it, numerous ellipsis don't really compensate for lack of punctuation elsewhere or using paragraphs.

I genuinely post this in the spirit of being helpful, as if you don't punctuate and do paragraphs correctly it just ends up with people finding your posts difficult to follow and your message getting lost

I literally don't understand what this means. Your other posts are rather difficult to unpick too. The time you save avoiding punctuation is time everyone else has to waste trying to read/re-read what you are saying.

In answer to your question, why is she allowed to email everyone at all? Not sure what her lifestyle has to do with it. Surely your managers can recognise how unfair this is.

Have you asked her what the pig farm is for? they can only really be used for meat (unlike sheep) so not exactly a vegan farm.

OP. This is mumsnet. Most of us are ‘of a certain age’ (ie over 18 for the most part). If you’re too lazy to use real sentences and want someone to consider that cool and modern you need a younger (and maybe less educated) audience.

Without wishing to sound nasty (I truly am not trying to be) it really is difficult to understand your post but I think I get the gist.

Block the emails if they offend you.
