At this stage, I really wouldn’t bother. Unless you’ve had problems conceiving in the past, I’d just have sex every 2 to 3 days and enjoy the trying. Maybe arrange a couple of nights out with your DH too.

Welcome to MN too Smile

Thankyou Jilted John there are so many helpful ppl on here maybe your right I just I’m just ready for this or maybe a few ovulation tests wouldn’t hurt but that maybe adding pressure again lol

IVe been pg a few times, I’ve never once used an ovulation test, unless you’ve being trying for a while, I really wouldn’t bother. If you’ve got £10 to spend on ovulation tests buy a pair of stockings and a bottle of wine. It’ll be much more fun Smile

My periods have generally always varied in length. You really, really don’t need to chart or take tests unless you’re having problems. Just relax and enjoy the ride Smile

Emmalouise36 · 09/11/2018 20:36

Enjoy the ride lol lol I know your only trying to be helpful and make light of the situation but first proper month of period and thought I had it all sorted and am absolute devestred even those they would be a lot of Anixty that would go with it like how would I look after the two wash them put them both to sleep as my son still sleeps with us but that all about being a parent

I know it’s disappointing when you get AF. Try not to get too hung up on it. Give yourself st least a year if TTC, so try to convince yourself that you’re aiming to be PG by next September. It takes the pressure off.

I’ve never got the obsession with charting and ovulation kits from the start. TTC should be fun. Obviously, I’m not talking about couples who are suffering with infertility but you aren’t showing any signs of that yet.

Really, just relax and try not to focus too much on the getting PG bit.

Have you found the Conception Section yet OP? It can be a little too focussed on charting for me but they should be able to help you spot when you’re ovulating. I’ve always changed discharge around ovulation. Does this happen for you?

Emmalouise36 · 10/11/2018 12:33

Not that I noticed. Thankyou again I will have a look

**focused. My iPad seems to have developed a spelling disorder!

I wouldn't bother worrying either. I'd suggest trying to learn your own body. I would know I'm in my ovulation window from raw egg white discharge, cramping from one ovary around a week before and a higher sex drive. Some women get PMS type symptoms just before.
But I'd be having sex every few days and especially when you are naturally aroused. Ensure that if you use lubrication that it doesn't have spermicide in it.
Track your cycles on an app and know they will settle down eventually.
Babydust to you both!
