Hi I'm lost with my 2.5 year old for the past few months he's hitting other children out of nowhere I'm so embarrassed and laughs when I tell him off nothing works! It just comes from nowhere he will actually walk up to a child and push him.

Hi am new I don't have cheldren but I uset to work with them in a nursery so yah you can get kids that hit but with disaplin it can help a lot.

Discipline and consequence on an unwavering and consistent basis. If you're shouting at him then don't because he's enjoying the reactions. Just calmly say it's bad and that's why you are putting him on the naughty step/taking a toy away and then give him a cuddle afterwards and say you hope he doesn't do it again because you love him and it hurts/makes sad mummy (and daddy?) as well as the other kid (as age appropriate as you can for him).
Check he hasn't learnt the action from you, another child or a game etc. Remove the influence if so.
He needs another outlet so ensure he can play physically and give him plenty of positive feedback when he's good. See if he's acting out because he's upset about something but he can't verbalize it yet. Whatever it is, it'll take patience so good luck!
