Potty training regression

Hi all,

I’m new to this but really need some advice.
My 2.8 year old was potty trained and doing really well but this week she has stopped telling me she needs to go and keeps having accidents. She only goes to the toilet if I take her.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks. xx

How long since you potty trained her? If it's very recent (a week or two) then they do have these regressions. I think the novelty wears off a bit and they stop bothering! Keep calm and I'm sure she'll be back on track very soon. Did you have a star chart or anything originally? Maybe reintroduce it?

If it was ages ago, could this be in response to anything that has happened recently? My DD regressed when she started pre school (after being dry for a year!). If it carries on you could get her checked out for a urine infection.

She’s been trained for at least 3 months now.
Nothing has really changed for you apart from her behaviour, we are going through ‘I don’t like it’ and ‘no’ it is difficult to get her to do anything. It feels like a constant battle.
When it’s obvious she’s had an accident she still lies about it.

I'd definitely get her checked out for infections. I'd generally say if you're still toilet training her, then stop for a while and try again in a few weeks. but if she was reliable, then I'd agree with Escolar.

The thing is it’s obvious when she needs to go as she stands there wiggiling but she doesn’t want to stop doing what she’s doing at the time.

Hi. So I took her to the doctor who said she doesn’t have an infection.
She’s been really good for 5 months now. I’m not sure what to do now.
